  1. The prediction of AF recurrence was assessed by Cox proportional hazards regression models. Data shown as hazard ratio HR for an increment of 1 SD of baseline biomarker value. The multivariable model was adjusted for sex and > 2 episodes of AF in the six months before inclusion in the GISSI-AF trial. P-value was corrected for multiple testing by means of FDR-correction.
