Experimental design. The cardiomyocytes in the control group were cultured under normal oxygen for 5 h. The cardiomyocytes in the HR group were cultured under hypoxic environment for 2 h, then, the normal oxygen condition was re-established and kept for 3 h. The cardiomyocytes in the HR + Allicin group were cultured under hypoxic environment for 2 h, then, the normal oxygen condition was re-established and kept for 3 h, and Allicin was added to the culture medium at the end of the first hour of hypoxia
