Left ventricular strain curves. Average and segmental longitudinal strain curves were obtained from the apical 4-chamber (A4C), 2-chamber (A2C), and 3-chamber (A3C) views. Average and segmental circumferential and radial strain curves were obtained from the parasternal long-axis view at the level of the papillary muscle. Global longitudinal and circumferential strain measurements were derived from the nadir of the average longitudinal and circumferential strain curves respectively. Global radial strain measurements were derived from the peak of the average radial strain curve
