From: miR-21 enhances cardiac fibrotic remodeling and fibroblast proliferation via CADM1/STAT3 pathway
CADM1 inhibits STAT3 pathway activity. Western blotting indicated that transfection miR-21 mimic decreased the expression of CADM1 protein in cardiac fibroblasts cells. In addition, transfection miR-21 mimic increased the expression of p-STAT3 protein in cardiac fibroblasts cells. However, transfection miR-21 inhibitor increased the expression of CADM1 protein in cardiac fibroblasts cells. Moreover, transfection miR-21 inhibitor decreased the expression of p-STAT3 protein in cardiac fibroblasts cells.
