Table 2 Inclusion and exclusion criteria for SmartCare-CAD

From: Effects of cardiac telerehabilitation in patients with coronary artery disease using a personalised patient-centred web application: protocol for the SmartCare-CAD randomised controlled trial

Inclusion criteria

i.

Referral for cardiac rehabilitation due to stable angina pectoris, acute coronary syndrome (with or without ST-segment elevation) or after coronary revascularization, i.e. (primary or elective) PCI or CABG

ii.

Indication for exercise training as a part of outpatient cardiac rehabilitation

iii.

Personal computer with internet access at home

iv.

Possession of a mobile phone with SMS-functionality

v.

Age ≥18 years

vi.

Able to speak, read and write Dutch

Exclusion criteria

i.

Ventricular arrhythmia or myocardial ischemia during low to moderate exercise intensity as assessed by symptom limited exercise testing at baseline

ii.

Heart failure NYHA class IV

iii.

Comorbidity precluding exercise training (e.g. orthopaedic, neurological or cognitive conditions)
