According to American Heart Association the normal values of UA should fall between 3.0 and 7.0 mg/dL. However, according to the commercial kit used in blood analyses, the normal values should fall between 2.5 and 5.0 mg/dL. Therefore, in the present study the UA values between 2.0 – 5.0 mg/dL were considered normal values and higher than 5.0 mg/dL were considered elevated values (p<0.05).Back to article page
