Modified apical five-chamber view (simultaneous 2-dimensional [a] and color flow Doppler [b] recordings) showed no residual ductal shunting, but part of the coil was extruded into the bifurcation of the main pulmonary artery, in addition to the high-velocity mosaic pulmonary flow jet resulting from the previously performed pulmonary artery banding. It also showed the direct collision of the high-velocity pulmonary flow jet with the extruded coil.
