  1. The prediction of cardiovascular hospitalization was assessed by Cox proportional hazards regression. Data shown as hazard ratio HR for an increment of 1 SD of baseline biomarker concentration. The multivariable model was adjusted for systolic blood pressure, history of hypertension, peripheral artery disease and smoking.
