  1. When adding gender in Factorial ANOVA analyses, no interaction of gender*VDR has been noticed (p > 0.05 in all analyses, as presented). Since there was no observed age difference by gender, the age can be assumed as not comprising to the overall effect
  2. Results are presented as mean values in nmol/L ± standard deviation (SD)
