  1. Values are based on Cox proportional hazards models. Results are shown as the hazard ratio (95% confidence interval), and statistical significance is indicated when the 95% CI does not contain the value 1. In the model, O-type was set as the reference. Model 1 was unadjusted; Model 2 was adjusted for age and sex; Model 3 was adjusted for AD type, SBP and surgery. The co-variates incorporated in Model 3 were selected based on the results of univariate Cox proportional hazards models and a multivariate step-wise logistic regression model
