● Patients with symptoms of myocardial ischemia for at least 30 min

● ECG changes indicating STEMI

● Patients undergoing primary PCI and thrombus aspiration (at the discretion of the treating physician) within 12 h from symptom onset

● Written informed consent

● Patients who have received thrombolytic therapy for index STEMI event

● Known intolerance to heparin, aspirin or P2Y12 inhibitor therapy (clopidogrel, prasugrel, or ticagrelor)
