Plasma concentration of Galectin 3 were significantly associated to eGFR in linear univariate (Beta: −0.009; 95%CI: −0.011–-0.007; P < 0.001) and multivariate analysis (β -0.010; 95%CI: −0.012–-0.008; P < 0.001), adjusted for age and gender, treatment with beta-blocker, ACE-inhibitor, Aldosterone Receptor Antagonist, Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist, beta-blocker. Plasma concentration of Galectin 3 were not associated to albuminuria in linear univariate analyses (Beta: 0.042; 95%CI: −0.018–0.102; P = 0.170)
