There was a slight detection of both TGF-β1 and β3 in controls (A, E). The peak staining was at 3 days after ACF for TGF-β1 (B, C) and at 3 days and 1 week for β3 (F, G). SMC showed stronger staining. Furthermore, SMC in the inner and outer zones of the media seemed to be more involved. Panels D and H are negative controls (NC), in which corresponding primary antibodies were omitted.
