  1. Based on 7066 individuals (6052 men and 1014 women) and 983 cases. Model 1 is adjusted for age, sex (where applicable), height and weight. Model 2 is adjusted for Model 1 covariates + systolic blood pressure and smoking status. HR for Ln-insulin is expressed per 1 log unit.
