  1. *Cardiovascular inpatients with respiratory diseases were those with a secondary diagnosis as acute upper respiratory infections, influenza and pneumonia, other acute lower respiratory infections, other diseases of upper respiratory tract, chronic lower respiratory diseases, and those with primary diagnosis or secondary diagnosis as pulmonary heart disease.
  2. The rate ratios (RRs) were adjusted for gender, year, and hospital.
  3. ‡Mortality rates in May were taken as the reference levels.
